Over het museum

In the presbytery building no. 1 in Bělotín, the municipality, as founder, has set up three separate historical exhibitions, which appear under the common name Muzeum na faře (Presbytery Museum). All are open by prior arrangement.

The memorial room of ThDr. Jaroslav Studený commemorates the priest, teacher, political prisoner, papal prelate and organiser of the repair and construction of churches, who was associated with Bělotín. The exhibition was created as part of a joint project of the municipality of Bělotín and the Development Partnership of the Hranicko Region, and was officially handed over on 6 May 2011. The project was co-financed through the LEADER programme, and in 2016, after the end of the sustainability period, it passed to the municipality.

The Agricultural Machinery Museum shows historic agricultural machines, tools and implements used for working the land, harvesting and household tasks. It was created as part of the Czech-Polish project Rural Museums under One Roof, together with the Hranice Development Agency and the municipality of Kolonowskie near Opole.

The third part, the memorial room of Prof. Lumír Pivovarský, commemorates the long-serving teacher of choral conducting at the University of Ostrava, who founded the university choir and led it for forty-two years. He also took part in the partnership of the Chorus Ostrava choir with the municipality of Bělotín.
