Om museet
Architect François Valentiny founded the Valentiny Foundation in 2014 in his birthplace, Remerschen. The non-profit foundation promotes architecture and art through cultural, social and tourism projects in Luxembourg and the wider Greater Region.
The permanent exhibition “The Œuvre of François Valentiny” displays paintings, sculptures, plans and architectural models from more than 40 years of work by the architecture firm. The projects range from Europe to China, Russia and Brazil and sometimes draw on the craft and winegrowing traditions of the Moselle. According to the tourist office, the collection comprises around 3,260 objects of modern architecture and art.
The foundation also serves as an archive and a place of remembrance. In its gallery space, regional and international artists exhibit their work.
