About the museum

The Atelier-Musée du Tabac de la Semois is located in Corbion, a village in the municipality of Bouillon, in the Semois valley. It was set up by Vincent and Gaëtane Manil, who make pipe tobacco, rolling tobacco and cigars by hand from tobacco grown in the region.

The visit presents an old craft: processing Semois tobacco in several stages, on machines dating from 1900 that still work. Visitors see the craftsman at work, as well as a large number of objects that trace the journey of tobacco through the centuries, cultures and customs.

The tour ends with a video showing the work on tobacco from seed to pipe. A shop sells the house products.
