About the museum
Squadra Abarth & Rally Collection is a museum for classic cars, rally sport and Italian design in Lier. The collection grew out of a passion for collecting: what began with a few iconic vehicles has been expanded into a large collection of more than 175 cars. The museum is run by Abarth GMR BV and positions itself as a museum, a meeting place for enthusiasts and a knowledge centre.
The core of the collection is the work of Carlo Abarth, the pioneer who made his name with innovative designs and legendary racing cars. In addition, the halls show cars from brands such as Fiat, Simca, Saab, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Lada and Porsche. A selection of twenty favourites from collector Guy Moerenhout tells the broader story through milestones in automotive history.
Alongside the exhibition space, the building has a library with technical manuals, rally reports and monographs, a museum shop, the Carlo Caffè, and its own garage for classic car servicing, restoration projects and a parts archive.
