About the museum
Ecce Homo Park is a multimedia exhibition devoted to the Ecce Homo hill-climb race in Šternberk. The race has been held since 1905 and for more than three decades has been part of the European hill-climb championship series. The exhibition was created in June 2015 in the premises of the former Augustinian monastery in Šternberk and is run by the Automotoklub Ecce Homo Šternberk.
The heart of the exhibition is the Hall of Fame, where seven large screens and high-quality sound bring the race closer from the driver’s point of view. The hall also includes the racing spider of Martin Šípek. Visitors can get to know the history of the course and the drivers, from the first competitors to the current European champions.
The exhibition focuses on experience: there is a motion simulator, on which you can measure yourself against the best times, and for children a junior simulator, a mini car repair shop and Gecco construction sets, from which a racing car or a track of your own can be built.
