About the museum
Veteran Arena is a private museum of historic cars and motorcycles in Olomouc. On an exhibition area of more than 2,500 square metres it presents over 80 pre-war cars, produced mainly in Czechoslovakia, and about 50 motorcycles, especially British ones. The oldest exhibit is the 1924 Wikov 16/4 prototype, and the museum claims the most complete collection of cars of the Prostějov marque Wikov.
The heart of the collection is cars of the makes Tatra, Praga, Aero, Škoda, Jawa and Walter. Unique items include the Wikov 35 “Kapka”, the first Czechoslovak aerodynamic car, and Jan Masaryk's Praga Grand. Visitors can also see English sports and racing cars from before and after the war, and motorcycles of the makes Jawa, Praga, ČZ and Indian.
The museum is supplemented by an exhibition on the history of technology with stationary engines, petrol pumps and a cutaway historic car, on which the construction of an interwar car can be followed. The museum is seasonal: in 2026 it opened on 28 April and closes on 19 October.
