About the museum
The Staropramen Visitor Centre is part of the historic brewery buildings in Prague’s Smíchov district. The Staropramen brewery was founded in 1869, and the centre traces its history from its founding up to the present day.
The tour is guided by the chief brewmaster Josef Paspa, one of the most important figures in the brand’s history. The story is told interactively and with audiovisual elements. According to the Prague City Tourism portal, it is complemented by sixteen large screens showing the beer-brewing process, as well as an original brewing kettle and a delivery wagon from the 1930s of the 20th century.
The tour ends with a beer tasting served by the centre’s staff. The site also includes a space for social and corporate events and a souvenir shop.
