Škoda Museum Danmark
Oldest Škoda museum outside the Czech Republic: about 30 vehicles of the brand from 1937 in a barn at Krengerup manor near Glamsbjerg.
About the museum
Three Škoda enthusiasts founded the museum in 1998; on August 8, 1999, the first exhibition opened in Glamsbjerg. Because space there soon ran out, the collection moved: on August 3, 2001, the museum was ceremonially reopened in a freshly renovated barn at Krengerup manor, where it has since been found next to the Hørvævsmuseet.
The museum sees itself as the oldest Škoda museum outside the Czech Republic and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024. Operation is carried by volunteers.
On display are about 30 vehicles of the Czech brand. The oldest piece is a Škoda 418 Popular of 1937, the manufacturer's first series-produced model. Among the rarities is the off-road military vehicle 973 Babeta from the early 1950s, of which only 30 were built. The collection extends through postwar models such as the 1102 Tudor and the 440 Spartak to the Felicia of 1994, the first Škoda resulting from the cooperation with Volkswagen.
