About the museum
The Réseau Breton was a network of around 450 km of secondary railway lines that served Brittany for 76 years. Hit by competition from the car in the 1960s and 1970s, it disappeared in 1967.
In 2010, an association set out to rebuild a tourist section of this network. The work was completed in 2021. The train now runs for 4.3 km between Gouarec station and the Bon Repos abbey, at a maximum of 20 km/h along the Canal de Nantes à Brest.
The site also features a reconstructed station typical of French secondary railways of the 20th century. Guided tours of the station and the open-air exhibition are offered at certain events.
