About the museum

The Cité de l'Histoire is an immersive cultural venue beneath the Grande Arche in La Défense, in Puteaux (Hauts-de-Seine). It opens to the public on 10 October 2026 and is produced by the company Amaclio Productions.

The venue offers about 6,000 m² of experiences devoted to historical episodes, with four experiences accessible at the same time. Each experience has its own ticket and its own opening days. Visitors find immersive routes, monumental experiences and virtual reality journeys, designed to be enjoyed as a family.

The opening line-up is led by “Leonardo VS Michelangelo”, an immersive face-off between two masters of the Renaissance, with works projected on a very large scale. A family interactive route in search of Charlemagne's sword and a virtual reality experience on eight centuries of the history of Notre-Dame de Paris complete the programme, along with an experience on Paris, Ville Lumière.

The venue also welcomes school groups from nursery to lycée, adult groups and corporate events, with full or partial private hire.
