About the museum

The museum is housed in the former villa-studio of the painter Consuelo Fould (1862–1927). It holds an important collection of paintings, sculptures, prints and 19th-century furniture, mainly from Consuelo Fould’s bequest.

The collections feature in particular works by Ferdinand Roybet (1854–1920), the painter’s teacher and friend. The Pavillon de la Suède et de la Norvège, a relic of the 1878 Universal Exhibition, now houses the museum and is used to present temporary exhibitions.

The museum is managed by the heritage and museums department of the city of Courbevoie. It offers free and guided visits, lectures on local history, workshops for children and heritage trails around the town.
