About the museum
The museum is in Torigni-sur-Vire, now part of the commune nouvelle of Torigny-les-Villes, in the former private chapel of the Matignon château. It displays works by Arthur Le Duc, a renowned animal sculptor born in Torigni in 1848 and who died in 1918, in accordance with the wishes of their author.
One of his works, “La Harde de cerfs”, adorns the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris.
