About the museum
The museum is located on the Falaise d'Amont, on Avenue Damilaville, near the gardens of Étretat and the monument erected in memory of the aviators Charles Nungesser and François Coli. Tourism portals present it as the Musée du patrimoine d'Étretat.
It offers a look at the town's history, from its origins to the end of World War II, through documents and models, with particular attention to the period as a seaside resort.
One room is devoted to the two aviators, who disappeared in May 1927 aboard the L'Oiseau blanc during an attempt to fly non-stop across the Atlantic from Paris to New York.
