The exhibition traces the development of the blind football department, which has existed for 20 years. Audio offerings, tactile models, an interactive pitch and VR applications are aimed at blind and visually impaired visitors as well.
About the museum
The museum is an initiative of the club's supporters: in 2012 fans founded the association "1910 – Museum für den FC St. Pauli", which still runs and funds the museum today. In the following years the association collected donations, built up a club archive and showed its first exhibitions, for example on the club's history under National Socialism, on life stories 1933–45 and on the club's visual identity.
In January 2020 the museum became a permanent institution: the permanent exhibition KIEZBEBEN 2.0 opened on the ground floor of the Gegengerade, the east stand of the Millerntor Stadium. On more than 600 square metres, photos, texts, films, elaborate staging and numerous original objects tell how the club and its fan culture became what they are today.
The exhibition is continually expanded and complemented by special exhibitions. Under the museum's roof are also the stadium tours at the Millerntor, the Dieter Rittmeyer Archive, the education project "BAM! Bildung am Millerntor", a shop and a wine bar in the foyer.
