About the museum
The museum is located in the former waiting room of the pilot station in Kaub on the Rhine. The town of Kaub has set up a pilots' and shipping museum here, recalling the time when pilots guided ships through the difficult stretch of the Rhine in the Middle Rhine region.
On display are ship models, replicas of vessels and historical documents on Rhine shipping. A short film shows the daily life of the pilots.
