About the museum
The Pfahlheimer Bauernstube is a small local history museum in the Pfahlheim district of Ellwangen and is considered the smallest museum in the Ostalb district. It shows the history, economy and culture of the community, which was once purely agricultural.
The foundation of the collection was assembled by Eugen Adis, who served as parish priest in Pfahlheim from 1910 to 1938. On display are traditional costumes, cupboards and chests, as well as utensils and household items from everyday village life.
The Bauernstube is housed in a building of the Catholic parish of St. Nikolaus, which also runs the museum. Visits are possible by telephone appointment.
