About the museum
The Singhofener Heimatstuben opened in 1995 as the local history museum of the village community and aim to preserve the heritage and traditions of the village. They are housed in a converted barn on the market square and are looked after by the local Heimatverein.
The exhibition shows the village history and rural life in the early 19th century. Among its treasures is the seal of King Conrad III on a charter from 1145, in which Singhofen is first mentioned. There are also minerals from the region's mines, mainly from the area around Bad Ems and Braubach, as well as miners' lamps and tools.
