Stones Fan Museum
Private museum in Lüchow (Wendland) housing Ulli Schröder's Rolling Stones collection, complete with its own Irish pub and concert stage.
About the museum
The man behind the museum is Lüchow native Ulrich "Ulli" Schröder, who has been collecting everything connected with the Rolling Stones since 1965. A former bank employee, he met Ron Wood in 1997, then gave up his job to devote himself entirely to the band, including working as a gallerist for Wood's paintings.
In 2008 Schröder bought an empty supermarket in his hometown and converted it into a museum by 2010, with a grant from the town. The museum opened in several stages in 2011 and was fully furnished by April 2012. In 2012 urinals shaped like the band's tongue logo drew worldwide attention and sparked a debate about sexism.
Across roughly 1,000 square meters, the museum displays photos, posters, records, gold records, tour jackets, backstage passes, paintings by Ron Wood and plenty of curiosities about the band and its former members. The building also has a small Irish pub and a stage where tribute bands and musicians from the Stones' circle perform regularly; in 2026 the museum celebrates its 15th anniversary.
