About the museum
The Laografiko Mouseio Iniou is housed in the building of the Politistikos Syllogos Ini – Monastiraki “Inatos”, in the village of Ini in the Monofatsi district of the Heraklion prefecture. The collection consists of objects from the everyday life of the Cretan countryside of the past, donated by local residents.
At times the space also hosts exhibitions of contemporary art, so that traditional and contemporary elements are presented together.
