About the museum
The museum was created by its founder Remo Danovi to preserve a small part of Lomellina, the land of his childhood, and to show younger generations the value of the past. The association A.M.LOM. – ETS promotes the traditions and culture of Lomellina.
It is housed in Frascarolo Castle, in the former stable of a fully restored farm complex. The route includes the section “La Casa” and the Casa delle collezioni (Collections House), with antique toys, hunting and fishing, a room of clocks and one of toys, the sections “I Mestieri” (The Trades) and “La Terra” (The Land), the Grande Cavalla and a gallery of carriages. The complex also contains a sundial dated 1811, arcades for threshing machines and wine, a rice-husking mill (pila da riso) and a large mill with its wheels. The museum also includes the castle’s park and gardens.
