About the museum

The museum is set up on the first floor of Villa Guaita, once the representative villa of the owners of the Cotonificio di Ponte Lambro. The route is devoted to cotton and to the history of the former factory, around which the village's working community developed.

The reception area for visitors is followed by a flexible space designed for cultural meetings, lectures and workshop activities for the youngest. Two adjoining rooms host the interactive and virtual part on the history of the cotton mill and of the workers' community.

The route ends with an experiential section on cotton, with tactile, olfactory, visual and sound stimuli. The museum is run by the Municipality of Ponte Lambro.
