About the museum
The museum consists of a complete ensemble of an authentic Aukštaitian homestead: a residential house with two gables, a threshing barn with horse harness, a working smithy, an old granary with antique objects and collections of furniture, a small cowshed with domestic animals, a lever well, a cellar and a bathhouse, where Biržai beer is brewed and which holds a national heritage certificate. The homestead also houses the only working antique windmill from 1924 in Lithuania.

The homestead visit ticket is valid for the Senovinės buities muziejus, the Senovinės technikos muziejus (Antique Machinery Museum) and the animals. In the educational programme “Grūdo kelias” (The Grain Route), bread is baked and Biržai beer is tasted.
