About the museum
The Tomala Private Museum in Kadzidło is the initiative of Antoni Tomala, who has for years been collecting memorabilia connected with Kurpie culture. The museum is located at ul. Kompozytorów 9 in Kadzidło, a village in the Ostrołęka district regarded as one of the most important centres of Kurpie tradition.
The collection consists mainly of material objects connected with the former life and folk culture of the Kurpie. The creator of the museum has been rewarded several times for his activity: in 2006 he received the “Kurpik” award given by the Association of Kurpie, and in 2014 the award of the wójt (head) of Kadzidło commune.
The museum has no fixed opening hours. The owner makes the collections available to visitors after prior arrangement.
