About the museum
The Museu CR7 opened its doors on 15 December 2013 in Praça do Mar, in a much-visited area of Funchal. It was created by Cristiano Ronaldo, a native of the city, to gather and show the public the trophies he has won throughout his career.
The route presents youth and professional trophies, won with clubs and with the national team, among them the Ballon d'Or, the Golden Boot and the Champions League titles. The exhibition is complemented by videos and photographs of the most memorable moments of the player's career, by interactive content, by memorabilia and by correspondence sent by fans from various countries.
Visitors can also have their photograph taken with a life-size wax figure of Cristiano Ronaldo, or use augmented-reality effects to create images as if the player were beside them.
