About the museum
The Union Brewery in Ljubljana began brewing in 1864, when a group of brewers started the first brew. In more than 160 years it has come through many historical turning points, technological changes and changes in drinking habits; today it belongs to the company Pivovarna Laško Union.
The Union Experience museum is accessible only through the guided Union Tour. A guide, in Slovene or English, takes visitors through the history of brewing in Ljubljana and the development of the Union brand, shows them the museum exhibits and tells the stories that shaped one of the most recognisable Slovenian breweries.
The tour ends with a beer tasting in an old tavern; the brewery has also opened the Pivnica Union beside the museum.
