About the museum
The Liedtke Museum is the museum of the German artist Dieter Walter Liedtke (born in Essen in 1944), who has lived in Port d'Andratx since 1986. It opened in July 1994 and is housed in a building designed by the artist himself on a hillside above the sea, shaped like a brain and a cluster of thoughts. The complex also includes residences.
According to the museum’s website, around thirty sculptures by Liedtke can be seen in the grounds surrounding the building. The programme combines sculptures made between 1979 and 2025 with open-air film screenings on a rock wall and on an outdoor screen on the terrace. Since 1994 it has also featured theatre performances and concerts.
The museum is run by the Fundación Liedtke. The museum’s website does not publish visiting hours or admission prices.
