About the museum
Says lies on terraced slopes above the Chur Rhine Valley, above Trimmis, and is first mentioned in a document in 1222. From 1880 until the end of 2007 it was an independent municipality; since January 1, 2008, it has again belonged to Trimmis.
The local history museum opened in 1976 and is housed in the old schoolhouse of Says in the hamlet of Büel. It preserves objects from the everyday life of earlier generations: equipment for agriculture and for processing textiles and milk, photographs from the village, a collection of house marks, household objects from the 20th century, and house models. Visits are possible by appointment.
