About the museum
The Maison du Dessin de Presse is located in the cultural center of Morges on the shore of Lake Geneva and is devoted to current, satirical and humorous drawing. It celebrated its tenth anniversary on June 1, 2019. It is run by an association whose team consists of management, communications and reception.
The house is a venue for temporary exhibitions. It shows monographs on individual cartoonists, retrospectives and thematic shows, accompanied by meetings and discussions about the medium. A fixed date is the annual "Rétrospective du dessin de presse suisse," which opens in December and sums up the Swiss drawing year.
Since 2019, a wine cuvée called "Sang d'encre" has appeared each year in a different canton. It is made with Magnificients in honor of Raymond Burki, and the label and winegrower each come from the guest canton. The wine is presented on September 2 each year, Burki's birthday, and is available at the house. The house has no permanent exhibition of its own.
