About the museum
The Museum of Orange Heritage opened in summer 2015 as a joint project of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland and County Armagh Grand Orange Lodge, with support from the EU PEACE III Programme. It has two sites: Schomberg House in Belfast and Sloan's House in Loughgall.
Schomberg House on Cregagh Road is the headquarters of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland. Its displays follow the history of the Orange Institution from the Glorious Revolution to the present day, with a particular focus on Orangeism around the world, and include interactive exhibits and a replica Lodge Room.
A memorial window in the Lodge Room commemorates more than 300 Orange members killed during the Troubles. The museum describes its collection as the largest of Orange artefacts anywhere and says it has welcomed over 100,000 visitors across both sites.
