About the museum
The museum is run by St John Ambulance Norfolk and is housed in a building at Preference Place on Bacton Road in North Walsham. It is known locally as the North Walsham and Norfolk County St John Museum.
Its displays explain how St John Ambulance began, what the organisation does today and how local people can help their community. The collection consists of artefacts, documents, photographs, equipment and memorabilia.
The building has been refurbished in recent years, and all the exhibits were re-presented with touch-screen consoles and improved information boards.
