Over het museum
The Centre du patrimoine is the venue dedicated to promoting the architectural, landscape and artistic heritage of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris. It was previously called L/OBLIQUE and has welcomed visitors since 2013 at the Maison internationale, 21 boulevard Jourdan.
The Cité internationale was built after the First World War to promote peace and bring students from around the world together. The campus today has 43 pavilions in very different styles. After a year of works, the Centre reopened to the public in 2022 in a new space designed for the permanent exhibition.
The permanent exhibition covers about 100 m². It includes a luminous timeline on the history of the site and the Cité 2025 project, an interactive digital model with 600 photos from 1919 to today, a touch map (“VidéoMap”) that geolocates 180 film excerpts from 1939 to today, and an area devoted to ongoing projects. A documentation center is open to researchers by appointment.
The Centre also organizes thematic guided tours on the architecture, art and park of the Cité, as well as game-based trails for families.
