Over het museum
The narrow-gauge “Jhangeli” railway connected Noerdange and Martelange from 1890 to 1953. The Niederpallen station is the only surviving station on this line. It was renovated by volunteers, together with an original Jhangeli passenger car and a locomotive from the ARBED works.
Inside the station building, a small museum uses documents and images to tell the story of the railway line, which closed in 1953. Outside stand a locomotive and a car from that era. The station lies on the national cycle route “Piste cyclable de l’Ouest,” which partly follows the former railway line.
