Om museet
The Türnitz Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1872. Its museum is located in the old equipment house from 1890, a building with striking industrial-historicist architecture, and was set up in 1986/87. It is owned by the fire brigade.
On display are old uniforms, badges, equipment and the founding documents from 1872. Unusual items include historic repair parts for holes in fire hoses and an equally old hose welding device.
The museum is accessible without barriers. Visitors arrange an appointment by telephone; admission is possible in exchange for a voluntary donation.
