About the museum
The museum is located in the centre of Haigermoos at the Anthalerhof, in a rare Innviertel Bundwerk barn. Since childhood, the elder farmer Georg Felber has built up a local history museum here, which is now looked after by the Felber family.
The collection comprises around 3,500 exhibits. It ranges from old farming and harvesting implements, tools and hemp and flax processing to a loom, carriage, sleigh, threshing machine, farmers' chests and farmhouse cupboards. Village craftsmen complete the picture of life in the countryside. Separate sections are devoted to the fire brigade, the telephone, dairy processing and forestry work; an old classroom has also been set up.
