About the museum
The Nostalgiewelt Posch in the Feldbach district of Untergiem is a private museum that grew out of roughly 40 years of collecting by the Posch family. It is next to the garden center Blumen Posch, whose café also advertises itself as a bonus for museum guests.
According to the museum, the exhibition covers more than 1,000 square meters of experience space and has been expanded since the first tours in 2019. It shows technical rarities and cultural treasures from over 120 years, including automobiles from 1886 to 1976, a walk-in Antonov An-2 aircraft and a self-built electric motor 17.5 meters long, described as the longest of its kind.
Further sections are devoted to the invention of the bicycle, nostalgic inventions, antique radios, record players and tape recorders, dolls and teddy bears, jugs and drinking vessels, insects and butterflies, and models of palaces and castles made from matchsticks, including the Riegersburg with about 40,000 matchsticks. New additions are sightseeing rides in historic vintage cars.
