About the museum
’t Krekelhof is a crafts museum and curiosity cabinet in Koksijde. The collection was built up by the Vandamme family, who over the years gathered with great enthusiasm everything connected with crafts. This created a large collection with many special objects and complete cabinets.
Across nineteen themes and related trades, the museum pays tribute to the former smallholder. In 2015 the museum underwent a complete transformation. At the back of the museum, the Fruytige Gilde der Appelpersers van Sint-Idesbald organises an apple-pressing day every year on the third Tuesday of November.
