About the museum
The Church of Our Lady stands on the Grote Markt in Sint-Truiden and, together with the abbey tower, is one of the city's landmarks. The abbots of Sint-Trudo had this Gothic church built, alongside two other parish churches within the city walls. Inside the church you can see colourful wall paintings, rich furnishings and two historic organs: the Clerinx organ from 1874 and the large neo-Baroque Schumacher organ, which was completed between 1996 and 2014.
The treasury is accessible through the church. It displays liturgical vessels, reliquaries, chasubles, reliquary holders, textiles and curiosities from the Middle Ages and later centuries.
