Peek&Poke

Computer museum and Muzej djetinjstva (Museum of Childhood) in the centre of Rijeka with more than a thousand exhibits that may be touched and tried out.

Opening hoursAdmission €8 Partially accessible

About the museum

Peek&Poke opened in 2007 as an educational non-profit project of computer enthusiasts. The museum now occupies about 300 square metres and preserves more than a thousand exhibits from around the world and from Croatia; it is one of the few permanent displays of historical computer technology in Europe. Visitors may touch and try out most of the exhibits.

In addition to the permanent display, Peek&Poke organises thematic exhibitions in cooperation with other museums, as well as lectures, workshops and other events. The founders point out that the museum has long outgrown its current space, as its exhibits would fill more than a thousand square metres.

The Muzej djetinjstva is in the same building. Its entrance area begins with the theme of creativity – from the Rubik’s Cube to Lego bricks and the Yugoslav building toy “Elektro pionir” – and presents games and toys from the childhood of older generations.
