About the museum
The Galerie U Plazíka is a small private, non-commercial gallery in the market town of Peruc in the Louny area. It is run by Miroslav Blažek in his house on Jiráskova Street and was officially opened on 23 June 2007. It is one of two galleries in Peruc.
Around four exhibitions take place in the gallery each year, mostly of photographs by amateur and professional authors from all over Bohemia. Both beginners and experienced photographers exhibit here; those interested in exhibiting apply on their own initiative. Occasionally documentary exhibitions are held, for example on the history of the village, on personalities of the region or on the railway.
Openings are accompanied by musical performances. The exhibition season usually runs from March to October.
