About the museum
The exhibition is housed in the building of the Latin School on Church Square, which is a listed monument. It belongs to the Městské muzeum Moravská Třebová (Municipal Museum of Moravská Třebová) and draws on the collections of collectors and local associations who preserved the heritage of the Hřebečsko region.
The ethnographic exhibition presents the world of Hřebečsko, where everyday life and German folk culture were closely bound to the rhythm of nature and the Christian faith. It guides visitors through one year in Hřebečsko, from the spring awakening to winter contemplation. The four seasons symbolise not only the changes of the landscape but also the four stages of human life.
Using everyday objects, clothing and other period artefacts, visitors can see the customs and important moments that shaped the everyday life of their ancestors.
