About the museum
The museum is housed in the original log building from 1610, one of the oldest buildings in the area. The exhibition commemorates the horse-drawn railway from České Budějovice to Linz and its designers, above all František Antonín Gerstner, who had a design office in Římov.
Part of the exhibition is a working model railway with trains, created by a native of Germany living in Římov. The layout is also interesting for children.
