About the museum
The Metsanurme village centre is located on the land of Rehemetsa farm, the oldest farm in the area. The museum takes its name from the restored undercroft of an old barn house, where, besides a stone drying kiln, several old farm tools can be seen. An outdoor exhibition of historic field tools stands in the yard.
Other suitable objects for the museum can be found elsewhere in the village, for example at Rännaku farm and on the local hiking trail. The Metsanurme village society has published a book on the history of the area (“Üksnurme mõis ja ümberkaudsed külad”, A. and Ü. Sirp, 2005).
