About the museum
The Tammela Veterans' Museum has operated since 1997 in the centre of Tammela, in the Manttaali house, an old civil guard (suojeluskunta) building. The museum is run and managed by the Tammelan Sotienajan Perinneyhdistys (Tammela War Heritage Association).
The museum's collection has grown mainly through donations, especially from the Tammela area. The exhibition includes, among other things, uniforms, decorations, trench art, maps, literature and Lotta items, as well as the trumpets the band used during the wars.
