About the museum
The Conservatoire de la monoplace française opened on May 1, 2015, at the main entrance of the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit. Covering more than 1,400 m², it tells the story of motor racing through single-seaters that combine technical innovation with industrial heritage.
The visit is organized into three themed areas: a timeline corridor, an exhibition area arranged by manufacturer, and an amphitheater displaying fifteen Ligier Formula 1 cars. A video room traces the history of Magny-Cours. The collection comprises 48 single-seaters, from the 1948 Gordini T15 to the 2000 Prost AP03, including the Renault RE30B/C driven by Alain Prost. It includes cars from the Ligier, Prost Grand Prix and Renault Sport teams, among others.
