About the museum
The Maison du Pain is housed in the former flour loft of the Commeny bakery, a village in the Vexin français where the smell of traditionally baked bread still lingers. The museum tells the history of bread through the centuries.
The visit is organised around a slide show and guided tours that follow the cycle of wheat, flour and bread. For adult groups and school classes, an activity lets participants knead small dough portions to take home and bake, followed by a tasting.
