About the museum
The museum presents the history of aerospace propulsion at the Safran group from 1905 to the present. According to regional tourism portals, it was founded by Snecma in the 1980s and renovated in 2000; it occupies a former seaplane hangar from the 1930s.
The route brings together more than 400 objects from the group’s various companies: aircraft and helicopter engines, motorcycles, a car, landing gear, rockets, brakes, aircraft seats, drones and more unusual pieces. The site also includes a 535-seat auditorium used for lectures.
The museum relies on volunteers, often former members of the group, who welcome visitors, restore the pieces and lead the guided tours. It regularly offers guided tours, educational workshops and lectures for families, schools and enthusiasts.
