About the museum

The Brun de Vian-Tiran manufactory, a family business founded in 1808 in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, long worked for shops, department stores, luxury brands and haute couture houses. Pierre and Jean-Louis Brun, of the seventh and eighth generations, wanted to make the manufactory known to the public and to create a welcome space for this purpose.

The La Filaventure museum occupies a wing of the manufactory, covering 550 m² spread over two levels, next to the clothing workshops. It recalls the textile activity that gave rise to the town’s industrial history.

The free, sensory route follows 15 stages of fabric production, with interactive displays. Children can follow a guided detective game led by Edgar the sheep. The museum continues into the house’s shop, which presents its collections of bed linen, home décor and fashion.
