About the museum

This museum is housed on the first floor of the Musée Salies in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. It holds the collections of Jeanne Sayous, made up of folk art objects chosen to tell the story of the end of an economy and a way of life, and carrying Pyrenean customs.

Alongside these objects, the museum holds numerous lithographs and old maps of the Pyrenees. The town of Bagnères-de-Bigorre presents this collection under the title “Arts populaires” on its page about the Musée Salies.

The visit to the museum of daily life starts on the first floor of the building, while the fine arts route of the Musée Salies begins upstairs.
