About the museum

The Musée Delta is located on the edge of Orly Airport, in Athis-Mons. It grew out of an association of aviation enthusiasts founded by aeronautical engineer Nicolas Roland Payen, who gathered aircraft linked to the history of the delta wing and to aviation at Orly.

The Concorde 02, a pre-production aircraft, was bought by the commune of Athis-Mons at the end of the 1980s and entrusted to the association in 1988, the year the museum opened. It wears the colours of Air France on one side and those of British Airways on the other. Other aircraft joined the collection over time, including a Caravelle and a Mirage IIB.

The museum is run entirely by volunteers. It offers guided tours of the aircraft, a virtual tour on its website and restoration projects overseen by the association.
