About the museum
Since 1990 the museum has been housed on a site where historic events took place: Fort de Kerbonn, facing the ocean. It sits beneath the massive concrete of a German casemate, one of the Atlantic Wall structures built in 1942.
The memorial honours all those who died at sea during the Battle of the Atlantic. The society Arts, sciences et lettres has commended the museum (silver medal).
